With over 40 years of experience in psychology, Dr. Caterino is an award-winning licensed psychologist who has over 100 papers and publications.  She has worked as a clinical associate professor at Arizona State University and Argosy University, and as the head psychologist at the Kyrene School District. Dr. Caterino is a Fellow of the American Academy of School Psychology and a diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology. She has received multiple service recognitions, a lifetime achievement award, a distinguished mentor award, and research award. Since 2020, Dr. Caterino has served on the Arizona Board of Psychological Examiners which regulates and licenses Arizona's psychologists.

 Dr. Caterino treats individuals, couples, families, and children with a wide spectrum of needs. Her practice is primarily focused on behavioral health concerns including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and adjustment disorders. In addition to psychotherapy and counseling, Dr. Caterino also conducts psychological assessments/testing of adults, adolescents and children, and is trained in the collaborative divorce model.
